Winter schedule begins Sunday

Don’t miss the boat during your holiday travel. The Winter schedule kicks in on Sunday when lots of folks are traveling to or from the islands, so be sure to check the new schedule before making plans. Here’s the bulletin from WSF:

Washington State Ferries’ winter schedule begins this Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 and runs through March 19, 2016. Service out of Anacortes to Sidney, B.C. will be suspended for the winter. The Anacortes/San Juan Island routes will operate three vessels on weekends (no dedicated inter-island vessel) with four vessels in service on weekdays. Please check the schedule online or pick up a blue schedule, #239, at the terminal or on the vessels.

Also, galley service is suspended on all sailings until the Spring schedule commences. Food is available in Anacortes as the Cheesecake Cafe (7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. except Fridays when they are open until 9 p.m.). There are vending machines on the boats.
