Fall schedule begins Sunday, 9/21/14

Just a reminder about the upcoming schedule change. Here’s the message from WSF:

Beginning Sunday, Sept. 21, the fall sailing schedule goes into effect. In keeping with previous fall schedules, drivers and passengers should note the San Juan Islands will be served by four vessels with one daily round-trip to Sidney, BC via Friday Harbor.  An extra westbound 11:40 a.m. departure to Shaw from Anacortes has been added to the schedule. Please check the schedule on line or pick up a purple schedule at the terminals or on the vessels. The peak season surcharge is in effect through Sept. 30.

It’s very unfortunate the the “Summer Surcharge” is still in place while both the schedule is reduced and the ferry capacities are reduced with the Cathlamet coming up here as a replacement boat. You would think they could at least leave the bigger boat though the last two weekends of the season– when people will be paying extra for nothing.
