Spring schedule coming and more

The Washington State Ferries spring sailing schedule begins, Sunday April 6. In addition, annual and new fare increases go into effect May 1. The spring schedule impacts the San Juan Islands in a couple of ways:

  • The Sidney, B.C./Anacortes route is once again available with one round-trip per day (and round trip tickets are available for the first time)
  • Weekend inter-island service in the San Juan Islands recommences

Annual peak-season surcharges run from May 1 to September 30. These fees are applied to single use fares for foot passengers and drivers, but are not charged when purchasing multi-ride tickets. The surcharge for the San Juan Islands is 35%.

There will also be a general fare increase of 2% for walk-on passengers and 2.5% for vehicles that begins May 1.
