Last ditch effort needed by 1 p.m. today

The transportation package was stalled yesterday in the Senate. Republican Senators do not like the gas tax, nor do they like the WA/OR bridge project. It is highly likely this package will not be passed.

That said, the Senate is meeting today at 1 p.m. It wouldn’t hurt to send one last email before that, thanking those senators who support the transportation package and urging those who do not to reconsider. According to the News Tribune, there is concern among some Republican senators now that they will be blamed for this failure to pass the transportation package. The email list for this group can be accessed here.

Also, it was being reported yesterday that Jay Inslee is considering calling yet another special session to keep the transportation package alive. Don’t know that he will, but you could certainly send him an email supporting the idea:
