Two very important upcoming meetings

WSF is hosting two very important meetings on Thursday, December 6 in Friday Harbor. Both are open public meetings.

The first is the second meeting of the San Juan Islands Partnership from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the San Juan Island Yacht Club, 273 Front Street, Friday Harbor. Meeting materials may be accessed here.

This is the committee exploring implementation of a vehicle reservation system in the San Juan Islands. Although public comments are limited to the end of the meeting, we encourage you to attend. The times for this meeting are based on the ferry schedule and residents of all islands can conveniently get to and from Friday Harbor.

The second meeting of the day is the regularly scheduled semi-annual WSF Community Meeting from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. also in Friday Harbor (San Juan County Council Chambers
55 Second St. (corner of Second and Reed streets)).  Meeting materials can be accessed here.

The ferry schedule does make it possible for Lopez residents to attend this meeting in Friday Harbor, but residents of Orcas and Shaw would need to overnight on San Juan. Therefore, this meeting will also be streamed live from the Orcas and Lopez libraries and on the San Juan County website.

Again, we encourage community participation in these meetings.
