Fares will be increasing on May 1. Last August the Transportation Commission approved an across-the-boards 3% increase that will be implemented on this date. In addition, because it is peak season, single-ticket prices in the San Juan Islands will increase by 35% until fall. If you drive a car shorter than 14 feet, you get a bit of a break though. Although your tickets will still be subject to the 3% fare increase and peak season surcharge, you’ll pay 20% less than drivers of standard-sized vehicles.
